INVENTION WITH INTENTION
We are moms, makers and longtime friends. Our passion for food drives us to continuously taste, experiment and improve. We created Coro Foods because we felt like something was missing. We have always loved making charcuterie boards and we consider ourselves connoisseurs of salumi and salumi making but when we shopped for ingredients, we felt that the salami category in general wasn’t reflecting the creativity and amazing flavor profiles that you find in cheese, chocolates and wines. We want to change that by spicing up the category and providing a premium product, made with the finest ingredients that has the most amazing and awe-inspiring flavors.
Enter the Salumi Deli in Pioneer Square, Seattle WA. In 2017, we picked up the apron from the owners of the renowned Salumi Deli (est. 1999) where we apprenticed and learned the art of Salumi making. Since then we’ve continued to evolve our craft introducing sustainable practices, ethically sourced pork, all-natural ingredients and moving to a state-of-the-art production site which allows us to realize our artisan vision of high quality uniquely delicious Salumi. Our inventive vision inspired a new name: Coro Foods. Coro has been our workshop where we’ve honed our craft and imagined new, impossibly delicious flavors, but Coro is truly a chorus of voices. We are lucky to be surrounded by a team that shares a passion for what we create together. Each of us has something to offer and each has brought a unique palate and imagination to Coro, making us what we are today and what we will be tomorrow.
